Balad Airbase in Balad, Iraq was a short-term in-field contract working under the direction of Michele Baker International and their subsidiary, Sallyport Global Services, which was in sport of the U.S. Airforce and the Iraqi Royal Airforce F16 Program. My role was that of Assistant Design Manager & Field Architect during the Construction Administration (CA) phase, which consisted of the implementation of 22 projects using the design-build delivery method. I operated as the liaison between the U.S. GC, Fluor Construction, Turkish, and Iraq contractors, and was in the field from July to October 2015.
